Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Sonoma Tribune collects limited information to operate the Site: server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamp), cookie preference choices stored locally in your browser, and information you voluntarily submit through our contact form (name, email address, message content).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run targeted advertising on this Site.

2. Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to remember your cookie consent preference. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Third-party embeds (such as our weather widget) may set their own cookies, subject to their own privacy policies.

For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

3. Third-Party Services

We embed weather data from weatherwidget.io. Their privacy policy governs their data collection. We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic; if so, analytics data is anonymized and not sold.

4. How We Use Information

Contact form submissions are used only to respond to your inquiry. Server logs are used to diagnose technical issues and understand general traffic patterns. We do not share this information with third parties except as required by law.

5. Data Retention

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Contact form data is retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry.

6. Your Rights

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA — see our CA Privacy Notice. EU/EEA residents have rights under the GDPR — see our EU Privacy Notice.

7. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. We will post changes on this page with a revised date.
